Treating And Preventing UTI Naturally

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of the most frequent clinical bacterial infections in women, accounting for nearly 25% of all infections. Around 50–60% of women will develop UTIs in their lifetimes. Escherichia coli (E.Coli) is the organism that causes UTIs in most patients. Recurrent UTIs (RUTIs) are mainly caused by reinfection by the same pathogen. Having frequent sexual intercourse is one of the greatest risk factors for RUTIs.

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection in any part of your urinary system — your kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. Most infections involve the lower urinary tract — the bladder and the urethra.

Women are at greater risk of developing a UTI than are men. Infection limited to your bladder can be painful and annoying. However, serious consequences can occur if a UTI spreads to your kidneys.

While antibiotics can usually treat UTIs quickly and effectively, people can be allergic to them, and their use can carry certain risks. The following are some of the side effects of antibiotics used to treat UTI:

  • nausea and vomiting
  • vaginal Candida infection
  • diarrhea
  • a rash
  • a headache
  • abnormal liver function tests

More severe risks of using antibiotics include creating stronger strains of bacteria. Over time, some species of bacteria have become resistant to traditional antibiotics. There are several species of E. coli that are showing increasing drug resistance, and these are the primary cause of UTIs.

Every time people use an antibiotic, there is an increased risk of the bacteria developing resistance to it. This is even more likely when people do not follow the doctor’s instructions to complete the full prescribed course of treatment.

Fortunately there are alternative safer ways to treat and prevent UTI bacteria without the nasty side effects.

Many people take D-mannose for treating and preventing urinary tract infections (UTIs). D-mannose is thought to block certain bacteria from growing in the urinary tract.

D-mannose can reduce UTI symptoms in women with an active infection. It is also more effective than antibiotic for preventing additional infections.

Uqora has a range of products that contain D-mannose that can prevent and treat UTI naturally. If you are prone to UTI attacks, get yourself a daily UTI prevention pill or a UTI prevention drink that you can consume regularly without any nasty side effects to protect your urinary tract from those pesky bacteria.
