The Rizal Art Festival 2010 at SM City Taytay

February 24, 2010 – The Rizal Art Festival 2010 was officially launched at SM City Taytay .

Organized by Nemiranda Arthouse and Gallery and Rizal First Lady Andrea Bautista-Ynares, Rizal Art Festival is an art exhibit featuring the best artists from the province of Rizal.

Rizal Art Festival features Nemiranda’s Art camp, Rizal Bonsai Club, Eastern Rizal Photographers, Couturiers from Taytay, Rizal : Gener Gozum and Merlino Cruz, Street Graffiti by the Neo Angono Artists, Tattoo Icon, Butch Bautista, and a various artists and art groups from the province of Rizal plus internationally renowned artists of the Philippines.

Here are some of the most exciting art forms that are 100% Rizaleno and some of the photos during the Rizal Art Festival launching:

Arts & Sketching Lessons by Nemiranda’s Art Camp

• March 1-5 (Mon – Fri) 4PM
• Open to all ages
• Participants should bring their own art materials
• (drawing paper, craypas/oil pastel, and pencil/charcoal)

Ceramic Painting Workshop

• February 26-28, March 5-7 & March 12-14 (Fri-Sat) Mall Hours
• Open to all ages
• Materials are available at the venue

Bonsai Making Workshop

• February 26 & 27 (Fri & Sat) 3PM
• Open to all ages
• Materials are available at the venue

The Art of Tattoo by Butch Bautista of FINE LINE TATTOO

• March 6 (sat) 4PM
• Open to all ages
• Materials are available at the venue

Rizal Arts Festival will run until March 13, 2010.

Also, the Biggest Filipinia Gown Project was announced during the event.

Objectives:
To bring back Taytay’s pride as being the “Philippine’s Capital of Garments”
To put Taytay, Rizal in the map by featuring the local talents

Target Dates:
Launching June 11, 2010 (Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal)
Completion: October 12, 2010 during the Araw ng Taytay Celebration

So this is something Rizaleno will look forward to. Hopefully, Taytay Rizal will be in the famous Guinness Book of World Records.
