As someone who values a good night’s sleep (and let’s be real, what busy mom doesn’t?), I’ve always known Uratex to be a reliable name. But I recently got to experience firsthand why Uratex continues to be the best mattress brand in the Philippines—and let me tell you, it’s more than just foam and fabric.
Together with fellow bloggers and media friends, I was invited to visit Uratex’s flagship Plaridel Plant in Bulacan to witness how their high-quality foams are made—from raw materials to finished mattresses. It was fascinating to see the entire process up close and understand the level of innovation and precision behind each product.

After the plant tour, we headed to RONAC Living Gallery in Mandaluyong, where we witnessed a remarkable achievement: Uratex’s 17th consecutive Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Award. It was a celebration of trust, consistency, and excellence—qualities that truly define the Uratex brand.
What Makes Uratex the #1 Trusted Mattress Brand in the Philippines
17 Years of Being Tried, Tested, and Trusted

Earning the Platinum Trusted Brand Award from Reader’s Digest for 17 straight years is no small feat. Witnessing the presentation of the award to Uratex felt like a moment of pride for all Filipinos. The award is based on actual consumer surveys, proving that millions of people genuinely trust the brand—and after my plant visit, I completely understand why.
A Plant Tour That Left Me Impressed
We toured the massive 450,000-square-meter Plaridel facility, the largest and most advanced of Uratex’s plants. From the moment we stepped into the production zones, it was clear how meticulous and world-class their operations are. Their Hennecke Quadrofoamat (QFM) Machine, the only one of its kind in the country, produces 600kg of foam per minute! It’s like watching a futuristic factory at work.

From Raw Materials to Ready-to-Sleep-On Mattresses
The whole process—from cooling raw materials to shaping, cutting, assembling, and packing mattresses—was incredibly seamless. What stood out for me was how organized and efficient everything was. They even have machines that cut foam into different shapes (perfect for sofa beds and neck pillows), and the automated assembly lines for all-foam and spring mattresses were fascinating to watch.

Quality Above All
I got to peek inside their Research & Development and Quality Assurance labs too. Uratex really goes the extra mile in checking the durability, density, and comfort of each product. Their commitment to ISO 9001:2015 standards made me feel confident that their products are not just comfortable—but also safe and high quality.

Trusted by Experts, Not Just Customers
During the awarding ceremony at RONAC Living Gallery in Mandaluyong, Uratex also honored its longtime partners like the Philippine Orthopaedic Association and Philippine Society of Sleep Medicine. It’s clear that Uratex isn’t just trusted by regular customers—it’s also trusted by professionals and institutions who care deeply about sleep health.

It’s the Heart Behind the Brand
Hearing from Uratex leaders like Mrs. Natividad Cheng and Ms. Peachy Medina truly moved me, as their grounded approach to business was both inspiring and impactful.

Beyond the awards and the impressive machinery, it’s their passion, integrity, and respect for their customers and team that keep them going. They don’t just want to sell mattresses—they want to help Filipinos sleep better and live better.

Leading the Way in Sustainability
One standout for me was how Uratex integrates sustainability into their operations. The Plaridel Plant is powered by renewable energy, showing a strong commitment to reducing their environmental footprint. Even more impressive—their delivery trucks are 100% electric-powered, helping ensure that comfort reaches Filipino homes in a more eco-friendly way.

But the brand’s green efforts don’t stop there. Thanks to a partnership with ACEN, four more Uratex facilities—Magallanes, Shaw, Marcos Highway (Metro Manila), and Isabela—are now powered by renewable energy. These join seven other Uratex locations across Luzon and Cebu already operating under the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), a government initiative that enables electricity consumers to shift to clean energy and choose their power provider.

It’s clear that Uratex isn’t just making quality mattresses—they’re also making conscious choices that support a greener, more sustainable future.
Being part of the plant tour and award ceremony was such an inspiring experience. It reminded me that trust isn’t earned overnight—it’s built little by little, every day, through consistent quality and care.

Now, every time I see a Uratex mattress, I don’t just see a product—I see decades of innovation, teamwork, and heart poured into every inch of foam. And I’ll proudly say this: Uratex truly deserves to be called the most trusted mattress brand in the Philippines.
If you haven’t tried one yet, maybe it’s time to upgrade your sleep. 😉
