Embracing the essence of “malasakit” and anticipating the joyous season of giving, Save The Children Philippines is unveiling the “Tayo ang Pasko” campaign. This initiative aims to raise awareness and mobilize action to embody the true spirit of the holiday season, particularly focusing on the well-being of children.

“Tayo ang Pasko” invites everyone to unite in collective action, transforming this holiday season into more than just a time of joy and celebration. It becomes a period of reflection and fulfillment, emphasizing that true satisfaction comes from giving.

Save the Children encourages everyone not just to think about food but also to look beyond food distribution as a way to spread Christmas cheer. Thus, the solution to our gift-giving should go “Beyond the Bowl.” This asks all of us to recognize and break the intricate web of factors contributing to hunger.

The bowl serves as a moving symbol of child hunger in our country. Beyond the Bowl encourages everyone to respond not just to the immediate need for food but also to recognize the need to support those who are producing the food, who themselves are hungry.

“With this campaign, we aim to ignite a conversation, a narrative of change, where every participant becomes a co-actor. The bowls not only foster creativity but will also serve as a tangible commitment to filling them, ensuring that our children and farmers see brighter, more secure tomorrows,” said Save The Children Philippines President Atty. Alberto Muyot.

Beyond the Bowl offers an interactive experience, inviting guests to engage by inscribing their pledges and heartfelt messages into bowls to make a tangible commitment to eradicating child hunger.

Guests will also be introduced to Save the Children’s Give to Save project, a gift-giving initiative, and the Fulfillment Band as a symbol of hope and collective effort in the campaign. These elements reinforce the message that every participant plays a vital role in filling the lives of Filipino children with hope, nourishment, and a brighter future.

“Tayo Ang Pasko” embodies Save the Children Philippines’ unwavering commitment to addressing the food crisis and child hunger gripping the country. With countless children attending school on empty stomachs, the mission remains clear: no child should be left behind. Indeed, “Tayo ang Pasko” – all of us coming together to make this season meaningful for children who are most in need.

Live the Christmas spirit through “Tayo ang Pasko”. By doing so, you also help secure a brighter future for our children and our country!
