I just finished watching Pandora: Beneath the Paradise Episode 1 on Disney+, and let me tell you, it’s not your typical K-drama! I was instantly captivated by the exciting plot and captivating characters in the debut episode of this series.
The first episode of “Pandora: Beneath the Paradise” gives viewers a glimpse into the seemingly perfect life of the main character, Hong Taera (played by E Jiah aka Lee Ji Ah), but also hints at a dark history that she is hiding. The fast-paced plot keeps you on the edge of your seat, with each twist and turn leaving you craving more. But despite the fast pace of the episode, it never feels overwhelming, and each scene is well-crafted to keep the viewer engaged. The use of unconventional camera angles and filming techniques also adds to the sense of urgency and tension, leaving you craving more with each passing minute.
Aside from E Jiah’s standout performance, “Pandora: Beneath the Paradise” also introduces several other compelling characters in the first episode. Lee Sangyun delivers an impressive portrayal of Pyo Jaehyun, Taera’s husband and the chairman of Hatch. Jang Heejin brings Ko Haesoo, the YBC’s top anchor, to life with ease. Meanwhile, Park Kiwoong as Jang Dojin, the second son of the Kumjo group, and Bong Taegyu as Koo Sungchan, the director of Hatch’s research center, round out the impressive supporting cast.
