As a proud member of PLDT Home’s Madiskarte Moms PH (MMPH), I’m thrilled to share that our online community has been recognized with the Grand Anvil Award (the highest honor) and a Gold Anvil Award at the prestigious 58th Anvil Awards. These accolades celebrate our dedication to empowering mompreneurs and supporting them in their entrepreneurial journey, especially during the challenging times brought about by the pandemic.
MMPH was launched in September 2020 during the height of the pandemic when many working Filipino women faced the challenge of balancing domestic duties with their jobs. PLDT Home and a group of Filipino moms launched Madiskarte Moms PH to provide a safe online space for mompreneurs to learn, connect, and grow their businesses. The name “Madiskarte,” which means resourceful in Filipino, embodies the spirit of Filipino moms who took on the challenge of digital entrepreneurship.
I resonate with Ms. Cheryl P. As one of the pioneer members of MMPH, I have witnessed firsthand how our online community has helped aspiring, starting, and experienced mompreneurs successfully start, manage, or grow their businesses. We provide resources and information, build a strong support system, and empower mompreneurs through technology and skills training in partnership with industry leaders. Our recent initiative, the Gawad Madiskarte 2022: A Tribute to Outstanding Filipina Mompreneurs, is a testament to our commitment to honoring exceptional mompreneurs who thrived despite the pandemic’s hardships.
In addition to the Grand Anvil Award and the Gold Anvil Award, Madiskarte Moms PH (MMPH) has also been recognized with a Silver Stevie Award for Innovation in Community Relations or Public Relations at the 2022 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. This is another testament to the impact and significance of our online community, and we are honored to receive this recognition.
The Anvil Awards, presented by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, is considered the “Oscars” of public relations in the country. The awards recognize the most excellent and outstanding PR programs and tools every year. Being recognized with the Grand Anvil Award and Gold Anvil Award at the 58th Anvil Awards is a significant achievement for MMPH, and we are proud to be part of an initiative that empowers women and promotes digital entrepreneurship.
