Peace and quiet, comfortable furnishings, and a cozy ambiance. This is what I like in our bedroom, a perfect place to retire at the end of a busy day. For most of us, it’s also a sanctum that’s exclusively ours to rest and recharge. As such, it’s only right to give it a few upgrades once in a while so I can also enjoy pampered downtimes. Don’t worry because these upgrades are affordable. Here are some of the changes you can make.
Pile on some Pillows. What is a bed without pillows right? At the very least a bed must have two pillows, but if you want to pamper yourself adding a few more is a good way to start. Choose soft and fluffy pillows that are hypoallergenic to help you sleep comfortably at night. There are also decorative pillows that you can add to make your bed more inviting. Aside from sleep and rest, the bedroom is also a bonding place for me and my kids. Having a lot of soft pillows around can be handy in pillow fights.
Add a touch of posh with a tufted headboard. Don’t underestimate the power of headboards in changing the look of your bedroom. I’ve always dreamed of having a tufted headboard that makes our bed look like it’s from a posh hotel. I finally got to do it by having our bed frame upholstered. There are of course ready-made tufted headboards that you can buy but I wanted ours to be customized. I was lucky that the upholstery shop owner was nice and easy to talk to. They were also fast and efficient so I was really happy with how our bed turned out.
This upgrade definitely gave our room an upscale look.
Style it with Sheets. Dress up your bed with stylish sheets for a luxe look. It doesn’t have to be expensive because there are good quality sheets out there that are quite affordable. I found several of them for less than a thousand pesos at Perfect Home PH.

Accessorize as you wish. Bedroom accessories like lamps, wall decors, rugs, etc. add character and charm to your bedroom. Since it’s your own personal private space you get to choose how much and what type of accessories to put.
