Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that bring joy in our hearts. This is why it is always refreshing to visit destinations that allow you to reconnect with nature, experience culture, and enjoy the best produce of the land. These are things that you can experience during your stay in St. Albert City, Alberta Canada. Now what exactly can you do while staying in St. Albert?

There are plenty of things that you can do in a city that lets you enjoy both the old and the new as well as nature and modern conveniences. You can start with these activities.

    1. Explore the Outdoors.

You do not have to rough it out in order to enjoy nature. A simple venture in the park, garden, or trail can be enough to let you appreciate the beauty of nature. As such, a leisurely stroll along the Red Willow Trail System would be a good addition to your stay in St. Albert. This stroll spans 99.5 km so I suggest that you wear comfortable shoes. Aside from taking you through the major parks of the city, this trail also offers a scenic view of beautiful river valleys.

If you want to have a picnic amidst a gorgeous display of blooms, then simply head to the Botanic Park and pick a spot in any of their themed gardens. Another nature spot that is worth seeing is the Centennial Province Park that features a big lake and a diverse bird population. The contrast in the serenity of the lake and the lively birds is another pleasant way to appreciate nature.

    2. Take a trip to historical sites.

Your travel can be more memorable when you take a piece of history back home with you. In the case of St. Albert, the Grain Elevator Park can give you a glimpse of the old way of life during the 1900s. Another historic site to visit is the Father Lacombe Chapel which was restored to closely resemble its original state in 1861. You can go on one of their interpretive tours to get more than just facts and tidbits of history. These tours also offer a demonstration of activities and skills used in the 1800s.

    3. Delve into the City’s Arts and Culture Scene.

Get to know more about the culture of St. Albert through artworks, music, and performances. There are 3 venues for you to check out and these are the Musee Heritage Museum, the Arden Theatre, and the Art Gallery of St. Albert.

    4. Go around the City.

After experiencing nature, history, and arts, you may want to take a look at the modern amenities that the city has to offer. Simply go around the city and check out their malls, bars, cinemas, and gaming hubs. This way you get to enjoy both the old and the new during your stay at St. Albert.

    5. Join the Festivals and Events.

One of the best ways to enjoy your travel experience is by joining festivals and events in the city. In St. Albert, the Farmer Market Day is one of the most popular event which is held every Saturday. It is said to be one of the largest farmer’s markets in Canada with over 250 vendors selling the freshest and best produce they have. This event also attracts thousands of people because you’ve got the freshest produce, quality market goods, food trucks, and music all in one place. Definitely something that you wouldn’t want to miss.

With all these attractions and festivities, it’s easy to fall in love with St. Albert City. Not just that, there are also accommodations that can make you feel right at home like Air BNB arrangements or house rentals. But if you are looking at settling in or investing in a vacation home, then you can also find St Albert Homes for Sale that fits your needs. One thing is for certain though, there are plenty of things to enjoy in St. Albert regardless if it’s a short visit or a lengthy vacation.
