Spectators cheered as the Luisa Medel High School Marching Band played the iconic Downy boomboompow dance tune all throughout the colorful march.

The grand parade culminated at Araneta Plaza where fans, judges, and attendees were treated to a flash mob surprise. The Downy boomboompow dancers led the audience to join the fun dance routine complete with free sampling of products to help spread the freshness and malodor-removal technology of Downy.

Amid all the fun and merry-making, festival attendees always find themselves sweating heavily when they join parades or any outdoor activity. This is not a problem with the leading fabric care brand. Downy’s best ever formula has an effective malodor removal that keeps fabrics feeling fresh and smelling fresh all day long.

“ Filipinos’ normally face situations or activities that result to unnoticed bad odors like body odor, sweat, food smell, smoke, and vehicle exhaust smell that gets stuck on their clothes and many other unexpected bad smell that can ruin their day. Downy extensively understands our consumers’ concerns and the need for fresh scent on clothes. We are really delighted to provide the best ever formulation of Downy that can help them fight against malodors on fabrics. We are equally excited to take part in one of the biggest and happiest festivals in the country as we demonstrate the refreshing technology behind Downy to keep the City of Bacolod and the whole Philippines smiling.” said Louie Morante, Regional Brand Communications Manager for Procter & Gamble ASEAN.

According to a recent survey the top 10 tough malodors on clothes are vehicle exhaust, cigarette smoke, smoke from burning garbage, sweat and body odor, wet socks, kulob, fried fish, barbecue, garlic, and onions.

Downy presents its newest technology that contains Downy softener with the breakthrough Malodor Removal Technology that does not just “mask” malodor with aromatic ingredients, but effectively eliminates tough malodors which completely stick to the clothes. This prevents the odor-causing material from being released again. The Perfume Beads, which are spread and embedded on fabric while washing, help bring back the refreshing fragrance on clothes. Together, the Malodor Removal Technology and the Perfume Beads harmoniously work to help neutralize all tough smells and create longer lasting fragrant smells on clothes every time the fabrics are rubbed.

This innovative product formulation is also complemented with modern and colorful product packaging for all five Downy fragrances – Sunrise Fresh (for quick drying, even indoors), Antibac (to keep germs away for the whole family), Garden Bloom (for wonderful floral freshness), Single Rinse (for quick rinsing with less water), and Baby Gentle (for the safety of sensitive baby skin).
