Legend of the Seeker is based on the book Sword of Truth which was written by Terry Goodkind. It was distributed by domestic syndication by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. ABC Studios is producing the series, which is in its first foray into broadcast syndication, with Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, Joshua Donen, Ned Nalle and Kenneth Biller serving as executive producers. The show premiered on November 1st 2008.
The series follows the epic journey of a young woods guide named Richard Cypher (played by Craig Horner), a mysterious woman named Kahlan Amnell (played by Bridget Regan), and a wizard named Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander (played by Bruce Spence) to stop Darken Rahl (played by Craig Parker) from unleashing an ancient and terrifying power.
In Hartland, Richard Cypher discovers that he is Seeker, the person whose life is dedicated to the fight against the evil Lord Darken Rahl. His has powerful friends– the sorcerer Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander and Kahlan Amnell, a confessor.
May 23, 2009 marks the season finale of Legend of the Seeker.

In episode 22, Richard puts together the three Boxes of Orden, while Kahlan confesses him. However, Rahl’s Mord’Siths find them just as this happens. In the middle of the confession, Cara, the lead Mord Sith, puts her agiel to Richards neck. This combination of the powers of Orden, Confessor and Agiel results in a magical explosion which sends Richard and Cara 58 years into the future. Meanwhile, in the ensuing conflict, Zedd is killed by his own wizard’s fire, and Kahlan is taken prisoner by Lord Rahl. When Kahlan learns from Shota that the only way for Richard to return is to replicate the magical combination of Orden, Confessor and Agiel, she decides to conceive a child with Lord Rahl. Kahlan gives birth to a son, who grows into a merciless tyrant. In the future, Richard joins forces with Cara to destroy the new Master Rahl. They meet up with Shota, who tells Richard about the magical combination required to travel back in time. The new Master Rahl fails to deter Cara and Richard from returning to the present, where they save Kahlan and Zedd, with Richard finally fulfilling the prophecy in defeating Rahl. The Boxes of Orden are destroyed.
Anyway, Disney has renewed Legend of the Seeker so we can expect season 2 very soon. Are there any Legend of the Seeker Season 2 spoilers out there?
