Face masks are now part of the new normal but this doesn’t mean that make-up is out. In this era of zoom and video calls, your going out make-up routine still applies when connecting with people virtually. For me, make-up that enhances your natural beauty is perfect for video calls. This is why decided to try the Colourette Cosmetics Velvetint.
Colourette is a cosmetics brand that values diversity and inclusivity. They believe that make-up is for everyone, meaning no bias on race, gender, or sexual orientation, etc.
Their Velvetint line offers an easily blendable and ultra pigmented tint that works on the eyes, lips, and cheeks. It also has a long lasting formula with a velvet to matte finish that lasts all day without feeling icky.
Another thing to like about this line is that they have 12 universally flattering shades fit for modern day Filipinas.

It is also budget friendly with a price tag of only Php349 for one 3.5mL tube. If you are an avid make-up user and would like to get all 12 shades you can get it for a bundle price of only Php3499 (Velevetint Vault) which is lower compared to buying the tubes individually.
I love wearing lipstick, you can take away my eye make up but not my lipstick. But since my skin tone is somewhere in between fair and morena, I usually have difficulties in finding shades that flatter my skin. This is why I appreciate the variety of shades available in Velvetints product. My favorite shades in this line are the Debutante, Birthday Cake, Soiree, and Bubbly since I am inclined to go with red, pink, and orange tints.
This make up is pigmented so you may want to go easy on the darker or brighter shades. You may also want to slowly build up your make up to get the perfect look.
I tried the Velvetints Soiree on my lips, while After Party on my eyes, and Debutante on my cheeks. The eye and cheek make up did last all day and is indeed comfortable to wear. I usually don’t wear eye and cheek make up because I have sensitive skin and usually get acne or rashes with cosmetics that don’t agree with my skin. In the case of Velvetints, I was able to wear the make-up for a whole day without any irritation. As for the lipstick, it only lasted 4 to 5 hours and you need to retouch after eating.
My final take on Velvetints is that it’s a good product to try. It is intensely pigmented, blendable, and comfortable to wear. It is also budget friendly and multi-purpose which makes it a practical addition to your make-up kit. Velvetints are also handy for travel since you only need space for one tube to cover your eye, cheeks, and lips make-up. I also like the nice sweet scent of the product which is not overpowering.
Colourette Cosmetics Velvetints are now available on Shopee, you can check them out and find the perfect shades for your zoom and video calls.
