Reasons for Hair Loss And Remedies

Research has shown that at least 1 in 3 women will suffer from hair loss or reduced hair volume at some point in their lifetime. On average we lose around 50-100 strands a day. This usually doesn’t cause noticeable thinning of scalp hair because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when this cycle of hair growth and shedding is disrupted or when the hair follicle is destroyed and replaced with scar tissue.

If you begin to shed significantly more than that or you notice they aren’t growing back, you should try to pin point the exact reason why your strands are falling out, and how to remedy the condition. Or you can jump straight into finding wigs for sale – which will be a quick temporary measure to mask the situation, while you take actions to prevent further hair loss.

These are many reasons for hair loss and here are 10 common triggers of hair loss in women:

    • Hormonal imbalance
    • Stress
    • Iron deficiency / Anemia
    • Hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism
    • Vitamin B12 deficiency
    • Dramatic weight loss and lack of nutrients
    • Illness
    • Medication
    • Chemicals
    • Age

Before pursuing hair loss treatment, talk with your doctor about the cause of your hair loss and treatment options. While waiting for your hair to grow again during treatment, you may need a pretty wig to camouflage the bald patches on your scalp for aesthetics reason. There are many types of different wigs from short lace front wigs to hair extensions, human hair weave and more.

Hair loss caused by stress or hormonal changes, like pregnancy or menopause, may not require any treatment. Instead, the loss will likely stop on its own after the body recovers and adjusts. Nutrient deficiencies also don’t often require medical treatment beyond supplements, unless the deficiency is caused by an underlying health condition.

There are a number of possible medications and treatments for hair loss caused by female-pattern baldness and other alopecias. You may need to use one or a combination of treatments for months or years to see the full results.

Most people shun away from wigs as they find wigs a hassle and uncomfortable to wear. But if you choose a wig with good ventilation, it will be easy to wear, light and will not cause a lot of heat.

Whether you are looking for straight hair extensions, blond bundles with frontal or lace frontal closure wigs, it is best that you do some research on the internet and read up reviews on wigs before settling on one.

If you notice or suspect you’re losing more hair than you should, figuring out the cause and starting on treatment sooner than later is best. It’s not the end of the world yet. Chin up, wear a wig, seek treatment and embrace hair loss with a positive mind.
