If you’re looking for a way to pass a drug test on short notice, it’s important to understand that drug testing has come a long way in recent years and that the testing process has become much harder to fake than ever before. This means that many of the traditional ways of passing a drug test, such as adding salt to your sample or using synthetic urine to replace your own, are more or less detectable by most standard drug tests today.
With that being said, the absolute best way to pass a drug test on short notice is to give yourself as much time as possible before the test to cleanse your system and rid your body of any traces of drug use. This includes eating a healthy diet and exercising in order to make yourself sweat out any leftover toxins.
However, we understand that this isn’t always possible since you may be asked to take a drug test on short notice. While sometimes you may be given several days or weeks’ notice that you’ll be taking a urine test, other times, you may have less than 24 hours to prepare.
Fortunately, there are a few techniques that you can try in order to pass on urine test on short notice. First off, you can try using a detox kit, which work by supplying your body with the necessary vitamins, minerals and hydration to try and mask any drug concentrations left in your system. These kits can easily be purchased online or at most head shops in your area.
Below, we’ll go over a few additional tricks that you may try using as well. However, keep in mind that if you’ve recently used drugs, there are no guaranteed ways to pass a drug test. The following tips are only meant to inform you about the urine testing process and are in no way a guarantee of success.
How Much of the Drug Is in Your System?
The concentration of drug metabolites that are in your system will play a significant role in whether you’ll be able to pass a urine test or not.
In fact, if you’re only a casual marijuana user, the drug may not be detectable in your system after only a few days. On the other hand, if you use marijuana, barbiturates, cocaine, or any other type of drugs regularly, they may remain detectable in your system weeks and even months afterward.
So, remember that if you’ve only used drugs a few times, you’ll have a much higher chance of being able to flush your system and rid yourself of any traces of the drug. Read more on passing a urine drug test here.
Do Not Try to Dilute or Mask Your Urine Sample
As mentioned, drug testing has come a long way in recent years. This means that most urine tests can now screen samples for the majority of commercially available chemicals designed to mask traces of drugs in your system.
Using other substances such as salt, vinegar or bleach will alter the pH levels of your sample, making it obvious that it has been tampered with. Additionally, using water to dilute your urine sample will change both its color and temperature, which also makers tampering much more obvious. In some cases, if your evaluators notice that your sample is too clear or too cold, they may make you take the test again.
Flush Your System by Drinking Lots of Water
Starting the day before you take the urine test, it’s a good idea to drink as much water as possible to flush any remaining toxins from your system. While this methods will not likely work if you’re a heavy drug user, it may do the trick if you’ve only used drugs a few times in the past.
Also, there has been no real scientific proof that taking supplements such as niacin, goldenseal or vitamin C will have any effect on the drug metabolites in your system.
Again, keep in mind that drinking vast amounts of water may alert your evaluators to tampering by making your urine too clear. Therefore, some suggest taking vitamin B the day before your test can help make your urine appear more yellow, essentially masking the fact that you’ve been flushing your system.
Urinate A Lot Before Taking Your Test
Frequent urination may help remove some of the drug metabolites that are left in your system. Therefore, we recommend drinking as much water as possible the morning of and then, trying to urinate as much as possible before taking the test.
When you’re sleeping, drug metabolites tend to build up in your system. So, the first urination of the day, tends to have a significantly higher level of drug metabolites than when you urinate later on. That being said, it’s crucial to urinate prior to being tested.
Diuretics works by increasing your need to urinate and can also help flush your system. Therefore, you can try to boost your urine output by taking a diuretic before being tested. This may include drinking things such as tea, coffee, or cranberry juice.
One final technique that can help you pass a drug test is to start urinating in the toilet first, and then mid-stream, switched to urinating in the sample cup. This can work because your initial urine stream will contain higher levels of metabolites.
