Election here in the country will come in less than two weeks and several methods have been devised to conduct surveys to determine who among the candidates will most likely make it to their chosen government positions. Surveys have been found effective in predicting the election winners for years thus the reason why some ‘wealthy” candidates and parties have commissioned such surveys.

Anyway, in line with this, the global convenience store giant here in the country, the 7-Eleven, has developed its own style of conducting similar survey. The 7-Election promo was launched last March 20, 2013 for the upcoming senatorial battle. The promo encourages the customer to grab a “Gulp” where the cups have its own corresponding face/logo/name of the senatorial candidate.

There are three cups; one each for Team Pnoy, Team UNA the other one for the independent candidates. For every cup of Gulp chosen, one vote will be counted for the candidate printed on your chosen gulp cup. In addition, you can cast your votes online by logging in at www.7-election.com.ph

This survey style of 7-11 predicted the result of the presidential race last 2010 elections, where the result of its survey showed PNoy to garner 38% and the official election result conducted by COMELEC revealed that PNoy got 39%! This earned 7-Eleven several awards both in the digital and advertising industries.
Regular updates will be open to the public in the website, social media and via strategic LED billboards placements in key transit areas in Metro Manila. The final tally will be released on May 7, 2013
As of April 26, 2013, here are the Top 12 candidates.

Now, if you want to cast your vote, visit any 7-11 stores no and grab you gulp!
