I was again lucky to get invited to the Frabelle Foods 1st Foodie Chef Competition Finals last January 9, 2013. Since I already heard positive reviews and feedbacks prior to the invitation, I was already curious about the product, thus grab the opportunity and confirmed my attendance to the said invitation.
Actually, it was two (2) months ago since they launched the competition and now the Finals. Senator Chiz Escudero, Frabelle Foods ambassador, was present during the competition as the chairman of the board of judges. The finalists were challenged to make their own recipe using Frabelle Foods products, which are the Yummy! Hotdogs and Cheesedogs, Pork Ham Tocino, Longganiza Hamonado, Hickory Smoked Bacon, and Honey Ham.
The finalists and their entries were the following:
- Neneth Tiongkiao Madrona with her Stuffed Chicken
- Romeo Julian Garcia with his Hickory Smoked Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Chicken
- Nathan Dapon with his Frabelle Trimeat Breakfast
- Maridel Pacleb with her Frabelle Delish Muffin and;
- Marlon Cruz with his Frabelle Meatlover’s Dream
Personally, among the five recipes, which we were lucky to taste, I like the Stuffed Chicken prepared by Neneth Madrona and guess what?! She won the competition plus her recipe received the most votes from the media attendees including us, the bloggers. Ms. Madrona, being the very first Frabelle Foodie Chef, received Php 20,000.00 plus a free one-day culinary class at the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA).
Anyway, Frabelle Foods made a promise that the Foodie Chef competition will just be the first and that we should watch out for their next competition soon. So, to get updated with the latest events and products of Frabelle Foods, LIKE their Facebook page.
Anyway, after the competition, we were served with delicious foods of Frabelle! Among the tasty foods served, my favorite was the potato salad. It’s something that “I will be keep coming back for more”. Don’t worry I will share the potato salad recipe next time so watch out for it.
