Nowadays, it’s so hard to look for a cool place to hang out where you can just relax and chill. Most of the watering holes in the Metro are crowded, with loud music, booze, and the heavy smell of cigarette smoke. If you were the type of person who prefers a more laidback atmosphere, these bars are definitely not the place for you.
There is one cool hang out place, though, right smack in the city of Mandaluyong. If you happen to frequent Shangrila Mall or Ace Water Spa, you could hop on over to Figaro Coffee Company located at D’ Ace Plaza, United St. corner Brixton St. (the place is very near Pioneer St. in Pasig City).
I’m sure you know what Figaro’s specialties are. They offer a wide variety of hot and cold drinks, pasta, gourmet sandwiches, salads, pastries, pizza, and of course, coffee.
I’ve been to the place before, and I found it relaxing to hang out there. The area is not too crowded, plus there’s free parking for Figaro customers, and best of all, the area is a Wi-Fi zone. When we went there, we indulged ourselves with A La Carlo pasta, Figaro Club and Grilled Chicken sandwiches, carrot loaf, and pudding. I gorged everything down with a glass of Taro Pudding Chiller Treat.
During our visit, I noticed a group of people seated on the table next to ours was tapping away on their laptops. They were probably doing some overtime work during the weekend or maybe they were working on a school paper. Anyway, they sure found a great place to do their thing. Not only were their tummies treated to awesome gastronomic treats but live acoustic performers also serenaded them. Yes, Figaro at D’Ace Plaza is the only one out of all franchises of Figaro that offers live acoustic performances every Fridays and Saturdays.
With awesome food, live performances, Wi-Fi hotspot, ample parking spaces, and a courteous staff, Figaro at D’Ace Plaza is worth visiting. If you have just come from a relaxing spa treatment or just want to rest your tired feet after a long day at the mall, this is the place for you.
