The Season of Lent has officially started in the Philippines. In fact, you can already feel it in the weather. It’s gotten warmer, scorching hot even, and there are times when I just want to lay in a tub full of ice just to cool myself down. Anyway, during the Lenten Season, people try to abstain from eating meat. Instead, they try to eat fish and vegetables. So what would you do if you suddenly had a craving for pizza? Obviously, an all-meat pizza wouldn’t cut it out. Well, you can always order the Alici Pizza from Angel’s Pizza Pasta Combo. Better yet, you could drop by the branch nearest you and see what other gastronomic treats they have in store for you.
I’m not much of an anchovy fan, but when my friends and I went to a nearby Angel’s Pizza branch, we ordered the big family size Alici Pizza that costs P556.
Angel’s latest Creation called Alici Pizza (thin and thick crusts)
It has real anchovies, black olives, tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. I personally love the taste of the baked and melted mozzarella cheese on their thick crust pizza. I also tried the thin crust but it was too salty for my taste. That could just be my taste buds playing tricks on me. For the thick crust however, the anchovies complete that needed kick of saltiness that makes you want to grab more slices. Of course, a pizza seems incomplete without fresh tomatoes, yum. If you’re not much of a black olives fan, you should know they’re rich in fiber and heart healthy fat. Therefore, you have even more reasons to try this pizza. You won’t regret it.
They have other choices as well. They have the Extra Feast, Angel Style, and Cheesy Melt (which you can try after the Lenten season, if you are abstaining from eating meat) =D
Angel’s Extra Feast (pepperoni, ham, beef, chorizo, onion, mushroom, green pepper, mozzarella cheese)
Angel’s Cheesy Melt
The Cheesy Melt Pizza is a sinfully delicious, crunchy combination of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses with pepperoni sandwiched between two crusts.
While all of these flavors tasted divinely, only one came to be the sure winner in my heart – the Angel Style pizza. It cost only P470 for a family size pizza.
Angel’s Style Pizza
You’re probably wondering why I loved it. Well, it had barbecue chicken chunks for toppings, which were both chewy and tasty. I daresay that it was a knockout treat. Even though there were onions, I didn’t really mind since the barbecue sauce blended with all the other ingredients. Of course, there was a generous infusion of mozzarella cheese again.
We made sure we left enough space in our tummies so we can gorge on Angel’s Brownie squares, goodies in rich chocolate sweetness, which proved to be the perfect ending to our gastronomic experience.
Needless to say, we went home happy with the good service and delicious food. In fact, I am already looking forward to our next visit to Angel’s Pizza Pasta Combo. I’m hoping it’s sooner than I think.
Fresh ingredients, hand tossed, delicious pizza, what more can you ask for? ANGEL’S PIZZA PASTA COMBO is really “A Taste of Heaven at your Doorstep”
