I recently got the opportunity to visit a math and reading learning center called NumberWorks’nWords Katipunan Avenue, QC. Although I am not yet a mom, I was able to join other mommy bloggers in an event where we got to learn all about the program the center offers.
NumberWorks’nWords is a learning center has helped children learn math and reading skills for the past 25 years with a highly goal-oriented system that is individually tweaked for each child, keeping in mind his or her unique predispositions and needs, guided by highly trained tutors for children from kindergarten all the way to high school.
Number Works ’n Words offers a curriculum that is geared not just towards the mastery of numbers and words, but is designed to maximize a child’s potential by building his or her confidence with a wide array of learning experiences that measures their progress every step of the way. Given that mastering math and reading is no walk in the park, the center offers solutions by harnessing each child’s potential by helping them find the fun in learning.
As Professor Dan Handy, Managing Director of Number Works ’n Words puts it, “We help kids master and advance their skills in Math and English, thereby enabling them to start the next school year with their minds primed from the get go to effectively learn new material in school. Our innovative and enjoyable approach keeps kids coming back for more sessions, even after the school year starts.”
My fellow blogger friend, Teacher Ria, believes that finding the fun in learning is the most essential part of really teaching mastery of a skill. Through this approach, even difficult subjects can be less daunting and difficult for kids to go through. Because these skills and competencies are fundamental building blocks to learning, it is important to not just teach kids rote memory of these concepts, but really the nitty gritty of the process as well.
That is exactly the goal of NumberWorks’nWords’ summer program.
Rather than just allowing children to get stuck at the computer or television, NumberWorks’nWords’ says, This summer, take a bath in math! The program aims to provide a fun, entertaining yet educational alternative for kids to do during the summer break that will prepare them for the upcoming school year by helping them continue to build a strong foundation in math and reading.

Yay they have a branch in Alabang. I’ll call if they can accept my little girl na. I don’t force it naman but since she loves reading and pretending to add and multiply, might as well see if she’ll enjoy these types of classes.
I worked along KATIPUNAN 4 years ago and ang dami kong nakikitang mga tutorial school dyan..but this one seems better..and affordable!
