When talented filmmaker Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) experiences mid-life crisis in the form of writer’s block, he gathers all the women in his life to become his muses. From his wife Luisa (Marion Cotillard), his mistress Carla (Penelope Cruz), to the memories of Saraghina (Fergie), the prostitute from his childhood years, he tries to get his talent and his life back on track.
