Update: Apple Event Announcements Rundown: iOS 4.1, New iPods, iTunes 10, Ping and Apple TV
I am one of the many who are avidly awaiting the Apple Event to take place later today September 1, 2010 (Wednesday).
Apple will have a live streaming of their September 1 event online, however, not everyone can view the stream. The announcement of the public live video streaming from Apple said, “Apple will broadcast its September 1 event online using Apple’s industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming, which is based on open standards. Viewing requires either a Mac running Safari on Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard, an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad.”
Even if you don’t have a compatible Apple device, you can still follow Apple’s announcement in (near) real-time as numerous sites will be live blogging Apple’s event. You can get live updates from Engadget, Ars Technica, ZDNet, GDGT, and CNET, among other sites.
