The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will be aired live on September 12 from the Nokia Theater, in Los Angeles, California. Electronic artist Deadmau5 has been announced as the “in house artist” and will be soundtracking the event. Lady Gaga broke two records with this year’s nominations: She became the first female solo artist with two nominations in the Video of the Year category and the artist with the most nominations in a single year receiving 13 (18 including Beyoncé’s “Video Phone (Extended Remix)” nominations).
