Every new year means a fresh start and the promise of great things to come. What’s in store for moviegoers in 2010?
Here are some of the New movies of 2010.
- Kick-Ass
A movie adaptation of Mark Millar’s cult comic book hit about average people who decide to become superheroes. The cast includes Nicolas Cage, “Superbad’s” Christopher Mintz-Plasse and newcomer Aaron Johnson, and the director is Matthew Vaughn (“Stardust”).
- Looper

“Looper” is set in a present-day world in which a group of hitmen are sent their victims from the future.
- The Last Airbender

- Toy Story 3
1 years after the release of “Toy Story 2,” Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang are back as their owner Andy goes off to college and leaves the toys to fend for themselves. Bonnie Hunt and Whoopi Goldberg join the voice cast and Michael Keaton is on board to play Barbie’s boyfriend, Ken.
- The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
The third film in the “Twilight” series picks up where last year’s “New Moon” left off, with Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) back together despite increasing threats to their relationship—and Bella’s life—from the Volturi, Victoria (now played by Bryce Dallas Howard) and that pesky lovesick pup Jacob (Taylor Lautner).
- Iron Man 2
The hotly anticipated follow-up to one of 2008’s biggest blockbusters. Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and director Jon Favreau all return with new co-stars Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell and Don Cheadle (stepping in for Terrence Howard, who couldn’t agree on terms to reprise his buddy role).
