Good news to all shoppers out there and to all shopaholics who love to go malling. SM Megamall has now expanded its already spacious mall. Though it’s already branded as one of the largest mall in the whole world, the SM Megamall was not contented at that.

Last October 20, 2009, the SM Megamall formally announced the opening of the Mega Atrium, which is located along Julia Vargas Avenue and strategically connects the Mega A and B. This relaxing-ambiance Mega Atrium has four levels to entertain the shoppers and allow them to get a different experience of unwinding apart from what the main SM Megamall can offer.

The event was hosted by Angel Aquino. It started with a tour from 5th to 2nd level. Mega Atrium has 16,000 square meters and has four levels.

2nd Level – Casual Dining and International Brands
3rd Level – Fine Dining, Leather Goods, Luggage, and Shoes
4th Level – Casual and Fine Dining, Young Apparel, and Specialty Shops
5th Level – The Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord and Services

There are also various shops and restaurants at the 452-square-meter Mega Atrium and aside from that, the architecture gives you a different kind of feeling through the wall’s, ceiling’s and floor’s material and color combination.

For those who like to go to church before going to the mall, Mega Atrium is really something that you should check out as there is a 1, 700 square meter Eucharistic Lord Chapel built with architectural designs with separate Adoration Chapel and Children’s Room.

I can say that it’s really a perfect place for your family and friends to spend some time together or if you prefer it alone, you may do so. They have valet parking, Lounge Area at the 2nd Floor, concierge and most importantly, for me, the free WiFi connection.

So, if you are planning to go out on this weekend, be sure to visit this great place – the Mega Atrium.   (You may also try the Eat-All-You-Can Ice Cream Buffet at Häagen-Dazs)
