Superbowl Bloggers Event

Chinese restaurants thrive all over the streets of the Metro. But only few reinvent themselves to give customers the perfect gustatory experience they crave for. Renowned favorite Super Bowl of China binds the Filipino heart for appetite closer to the flavorful palates of Chinese food selections as it adds a number of exciting dishes plus a special Christmas Ham to their already-extensive menu.

Thirty (30) soon-to-be-chef bloggers {including me} experienced whipping up these very dishes and uncover the secrets that lie over the bowl of great tasting Chinese cuisine. organized the event with Super Bowl of China at the TriNoma branch last December 2, 2008, 6PM.

Bloggers got a chance to see the action inside their busy kitchen. Bloggers were divided into groups. We took turns in checking their kitchen. While others were inside the kitchen, we were given a plain bowl for us to decorate. We were not given any themes or any instructions, just to decorate your own bowls. Since Christmas is coming, I decided to make it as a theme. See my bowl:

After the tour of the first batch, it was our turn to witness the actions inside their kitchen. The Master Chef showed us how they cook their Seafood Chopsuey. He told us that they cooked the ingredients separately depending on the cooking time. They don’t want the food over cooked or under cooked. After the demo, of course we had a chance to taste their Seafood Chopsuey. Hmmm. It’s so yummy. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. You can tell that the vegetables are fresh. It’s perfect.

When all of the groups were done with the tour, they served us their sumptuous meals. We had Yang Chow Fried Rice, Honey Glazed Pork Ribs, assorted dimsum, Seafood Chopsuey, Lechon Kawali, Crispy Mandarin Chicken, Tao Sa Pao and more.

Then after the dinner, they announced the three winners of Bowl decoration contest. I was not really paying attention {because I was still eating that time}, when they raised my bowl and said that it was the winner for the Most Festive Bowl. I was really shocked. All I could say that time was Yehey! My design is so simple. Even 1st graders can do it. But they said, the Master Chef (the judge) liked my design. So thanks to Master Chef, I have an Adidas shirt and AXN USB fan.

The surprise did not end there. The Marketing Manager, Bob, announced that we were going to take home Whole Chicken Stuffed w/ Holiday Machang and Christmas Ham each. Yehey! again. Thanks and Super Bowl for making this possible.
