My Ultra 7 Experience

Ms. Tinay Magtira of Eastwood City invited some bloggers to try new Eastwood Mall’s Cinema Ultra 7! We watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

However, this is not the first time my husband and I watched a movie in Ultra 7. We also saw Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen last month.

Watching movie in Eastwood Cinema Ultra 7 was great. The cinema is spacious. For P400 each, you can enjoy a movie while sitting in their purple lazy boy’s reclining chair plus unlimited drinks and popcorn (plain, cheese and barbeque-my favorite)!

Hands down to Ultra 7 crews for superb service. Just raise your hands and they will come to you. It’s like having a butler in a movie house.

For me, Eastwood Mall’s Cinema Ultra 7 is the best cinema ever.

Kids and kids at heart (like me) rule at Eastwood City last Easter.

Instead of the usual Easter egg hunting, Eastwood City set up five uniquely-themed worlds around Eastwood City’s commercial development.

Five “worlds” came to life : the Main Wonderland, the Animal Kingdom, the Empire of the Inflatables, the Game Zone, and the World of Circus and Magic.

I brought my niece along so she can enjoy what Eastwood City offers that day. Around 1pm, we watched as the drum and bugle corps, mascots and cosplayer had a parade starting from the main Wonderland.

After the parade, we checked the 5 worlds and each section have various activities, booths, and play areas, designed and organized according to its theme.

Booths like David Salon, Nips, Nissin, Henna tattoo, glitter tattoo, face tattoo, caricature can be found in the Main Wonderland.

Then we headed to the Animal Kingdom where petting zoo is located. In the Animal Kingdom, children can ride ponies. They can even feed the animals like rabbits, goats, chicken and more.

In the World of Circus, magicians, jugglers unicyclists are all over the place.

Thee large inflatables are set on the the Empire of the Inflatables.

Lastly, the Game Zone is the place where arcades are set up.

It was really a fun and adventure-filled Easter Sunday.

After the event, we went around the mall looking for Apidexin. Too bad we didn’t find one, so we decided to home.

Each section will have various activities, booths, and play areas, designed and organized according to its theme. Kids will also get a chance to win toys from Toytown, a Sony PS3, and a Nintendo Wii from the Eastwood City Easter Wonderland raffle.

“Instead of the usual Easter egg hunting, we came up with the Easter Wonderland to make kids experience a different kind of Easter,” said Kevin L. Tan, Megaworld Corporation’s commercial division head. “As a child, we all had fantasies of a perfect day out, and this one we prepared at Eastwood City for Easter is something near its realization,” Tan added.

An Easter parade starting from the Main Wonderland will open the fair. All performers and participants, together with mascots and a drum and bugle corps. will go around activity areas. At 2pm, the fun starts with the unique activities in store for kids. Little equestrians can ride ponies at the Animal Kingdom. Future beauty queens will enjoy the kids’ salon and glitter tattoo booths at the Main Wonderland. Street magicians meanwhile, will line up the World of Circus and Magic’s area, with their neat tricks and cool performances. Petting zoos, stilt walkers, balloon twisting, huge inflatables, and a lot more, will also be part of the Eastwood City Easter Wonderland. And to give a unique twist to the Easter egg, master painter Fernando Sena will be holding out free egg painting sessions for kids.

Pocket performances will also held at the different “worlds.” Musical theater actor Audie Gemora’s summer performing arts program My Talent, will have a showcase presentation at 4pm at the Main Wonderland. There will also be magic, bubble, and acrobat shows, among others, at different times within the fair.

Wonderland passports are at P350.00 and this already entitles the kid a one-time access to all booths and activities inside the fair, and two adults to accompany the kid. In excess, adults will have to pay P50.00 per head to enter the fair. The Eastwood City Easter Wonderland on-day registration will start 1pm. The fun fair is open until 9pm. Early registrations are also welcome at the Eastwood Mall concierge starting April 1.

Regine Velasquez serenaded the crowd at Eastwood Mall Open Park. I’m not a Regine fan, but I really enjoyed the show. I felt that love was still in the air while Regine was on the stage. Regine’s enchanting voice and the scenic backdrop of the new Eastwood Mall Open Park set a romantic mood in Eastwood Mall Open Park.

I remember a girl shouted “I love you Regine”. And Regine replied, “I love you too” with the rock on hand sign. We learned that the girl was actually from the United States and came by to Eastwood Mall just to see Regine.

Marvin Augustin was also there to witness the free concert of the Asia’s Songbird. But it end up, Regine asking Marvin for a dance.

Anyway, the free concert was part of Regine’s mall tours for her latest album, Low-Key which got a platinum award last February. Regine performed 8 songs:

Unlike in Eastwood Mall Open Park (during Regine’s concert), the Eastwood City Walk’s Central Plaza is perfect for the The Dawn’s concert. The place was surrounded by teenagers and yuppies hanging out.

The Dawn showcased their own unique versions of unforgettable tunes like The Police’s “Message in A Bottle”, I Melt With You, Enveleoped Ideas and more. The Dawn continues to show why they remain to be one of the most undisputable icons in the entertainment industry and the legends in the music scene.

These concerts were Eastwood Mall’s way of showing its continuous effort of promoting world-class OPM artists this 2009. Thanks to Eastwood City.
