Glee Episode 3: Grilled Cheesus tackles religion and faith

Co-creator Ryan Murphy called it the “best episode we’ve done, Glee episode “Grilled Cheesus” is set to tackle religion and faith.

USA Today’s Robert Bianco deemed it one of the best episodes of the new season, a “silly, funny and, yes, potentially upsetting trick, but it provokes a smart, moving, musical exploration of the power and limits of faith and religion in a democratic society — and of our need to find something or someone to believe in.” Bianco praised Chris Colfer and Mike O’Malley, commenting positively on the way Colfer’s singing is used to “dig beneath the archness and anger in Kurt’s behavior”, calling it “a textbook example of what music can add to drama.” Continue reading »
