As soon as we reached our destination, my husband called up his friend to ask for referrals. We wanted to take the car to an air conditioner shop that specializes in specific makes and models of cars. Fortunately, hubby’s friend referred him to Mang Mario, a car air conditioner specialist who charges affordable rates. This deal seemed to be as good as it got, so off hubby went to the shop.

According to Mang Mario, the problem was with the air oil separator, the very thing that separates or filters the oily vapor from engines and removes the oil allowing the air to pass through. That was the reason why there was a stench when the air conditioner started acting up. It’s a good thing the air conditioner shop had spare parts available, and it was Mang Mario who gladly chose the model that was just right for our car.

Next, he told hubby that since we were replacing the separator, we might as well replace the air compressor filter, too. The two go hand in hand, so Mang Mario says. One cannot function without the other, since the filter ensures that the air expelled by the air conditioner is free of impurities and even debris.

So now, our car air conditioner is functioning normally again, all thanks to Mang Mario and his expertise. Now, there’s no more stench and no longer do we have to endure the heat. Here’s to happy travels ahead!

Anyway, let’s get into business. So, on the first day, which was on the 19th of September, I mixed the first pack on my regular juice (as instructed). My juice didn’t have any rare taste, actually, my juice just tasted the same as if nothing was mixed or diluted into it. To make the long story short, let’s fast forward. I did the same thing – mixed a pack of Potion IVI Premium Collagen Powder Drink – for 14 days (without a miss) until October 2, 2011, the 14th day of the challenge. Let me also add that during the 14-day challenge, I have not noticed any adverse effect related to drinking the Potion IVI Premium Collagen Powder Drink and I am confident that it’s perfectly safe!

When I looked at myself in the mirror, I haven’t noticed any change but then, I didn’t worry because I was told that no major visible change can be noticed since I’ve only taken Potion IVI Premium Collagen Powder Drink for 14 days. The picture shown (right) is one of my favorite t-shirts that I have. Actually, I own a very few shirts and if my memory serves me right, I guess I possess not more than ten shirts. So, when I say, “this is one of my favorite shirts”, this simply means that I treasure it that much and I will do anything not to lose or damage the shirt. You might ask me, “what’s so important with this shirt?”.I know, for most of you, this shirt might seem just like any other shirt and even an ordinary person can have similar shirt whenever and wherever they want. Yes, it’s true, but as for me? It means a lot. Yes, a lot.

Now, let me tell you why I treasure a shirt as simple as this, with an equally plain print that says: “Pinoy Blogger”. You know, before I became one of the “successful” bloggers here in the country, I once have an offline day job that gives me just enough compensation. Although that was the case, I bravely decided to leave that job because I was not happy with it anymore and every time I came to work, I felt I was being sort of “sentenced to death”. I don’t know why, but that was how I felt, at least during those times.

Anyway, last 2008, after I left my day job, I tried blogging. At first, I was really unsure about it, especially during those times that most people I know suspiciously asked me if I can really earn from blogging or can blogging really sustain my daily needs; even I was not sure about the answer that time. In addition, when people asked me the source of my income and when I replied “blogging” or “I am a blogger”, I can really see the curious looks in their eyes as blogging, that time, is not as popular as it is now, thus I find it hard to explain my “work” to them.

Nevertheless, I worked hard day and night, to prove to those people that I can succeed in blogging, while enjoying the benefits that go with it. Yes, there are a lot of benefits that I enjoy being a blogger, some of these benefits are

1. Getting to know other bloggers, which means, we share the same sentiments and obviously, we understand each other. I even found some “confidants” in them.

2. Attending events, where (sometimes) I am treated as one of the VIPs. It’s a great feeling, really.

3. I get to be invited to various restaurant openings and other food launching events, meaning I get to taste the food, for FREE!

4. I receive free products or product samples and review them in return (an easy task, eh?)

5. I get to travel from one place to another for free (with free accommodation at times) from winning some blogging contests or as compliments.

6. Income possibilities are endless – this means that what I earn depends on how I perform.

7. Lastly, but definitely not the least, because of blogging, I am the master of my time, meaning I don’t have to wake up early, and do the usual “time-in-time-out” routine. Also, I am my own boss so no one scolds me or there’s no fear of being fired!

In fact, the list of benefits I get from blogging is endless and what I listed here are just few of the many.

But I also have to take note that being a blogger is not as easy as it may seem. Although I own my time and just work as I please, there are also ups and downs, especially that the income is not steady. There were times where I have below than “minimum wage” income and when this happens, I find it hard to make both ends meet. Even though this is the case, I just strived harder and work my way up to sort of “redeem” myself from the “judgments” I receive from other people. I endure sleepless nights to grab online opportunities and/or brazenly asked for advertisers to put their ads on my site for a “less than usual rates”; the sacrifices continue even until now.

Because of these experiences, I can still confidently say that I am a “Proud Pinoy Blogger” because I survived the first three difficult years of blogging. This is the reason why when I first saw this shirt last April of this year, I immediately decided to buy it as through this I can be always reminded how I worked hard to earn what I have today and become one of the considered “modern media”. Isn’t it a pride?

I love this shirt! Now I want someone to love it, too! I support the Electrolux Wash-athon Clothes Donation Advocacy.

Flip flops for men are now becoming a fad, especially the use of flip flops products that comes from respected brands like those of Havaianas. I bet my husband will surely love it because he is not the shoes-type of person; he loves to roam around on his sandals or flip flops. Sometimes, he finds it uncomfortable to wear shoes, especially shoes for formal occasion, because he is not used to it. As a result, we end up staying at home and browsing through the web instead of attending the event.

Well, I guess, that’s it! I’ll just surprise him with a pair of Havaianas’ flip flops on his birthday. Although it may seem to be a common gift that he can buy for himself anytime, after all, it’s the thought that matters, right?

I love to travel around the world but due to time and budget constraints, my husband and I were only able to visit local destination like Palawa, Boracay and more.

I want to travel to learn about different culture, and experience living in other countries even for a day or two.

But like I said, due to limited budget, our travel is also limited. But it doesn’t stop me from learning from different cultures from different countries as I discovered a postcards exchange site that invites everyone to send and receive postcards from random places in the world for free!

Here is how postcrossing works: you sign up and request an address. The site emails you the address of some person in the world (you can indicate if you want only international addresses or if you’re ok with domestic too) and a little description that the person writes about his or herself. You also write a numerical code somewhere on the postcard. Once the person receives the card, they enter it into the website, and you get “credit” for having sent it. For every postcard you send, your address will be provided to another user so that you can get one.

So far, I already sent postcards to someone in China, New York, Finland. And I received 3 postcards in return from Germany, Malaysia and New Zealand.

I usually send personalized post cards. Since I know a company that offers full color postcard printing at competitive prices. I want to send postcards with my personal touch like I’m using my own photos of Philippine beaches.

But I prefer receiving postcards with country’s famous tourist spots or with recipes of their famous dish in their country.

If you want to receive postcards from other countries, you may want to check some postcard exchange program found online.

It’s the time of the month, time for vacation. Why is a Vacation So Important? The reason that a vacation is so important is because we need a chance to get away from our normal lives and have a relaxing trip to recharge the batteries.

This time, we went to Boracay for a 3-days 2 nights vacation. Boracay is an island of the Philippines located approximately 315 km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

Leisure activities available on or near Boracay include scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kiteboarding, cliff diving, and beach relaxation. You can also try horseback riding, go-kart and ATV. Speaking of ATV, if you need ATV Parts I know exactly where to get it.

Anyway, I’ll talk more about our vacation in my next posts. For now, I’ll enjoy our wakeboarding activity here in Calatagan, Batangas.
