Member Ben Adams who wrote “Like A Rose” is thrilled to announce their performance of the said version. “We have just updated it for a brand new version for 2012, which was amazingly fun to do! Very excited for you all to hear it!”

So when I received the Marshall Headphones for review, a light bulb over my head just lit up!

Marshall offers what it calls the Major and Minor Headphones. At first glance, it looked like a stereotype headphone but at a closer look, I have seen the intricate details specifically created for the comfort of music lovers.

Marshall, as mentioned, created 2 types of headphones, the Major headphones, which is placed over-the-head, and Minor Earphones, which have a snug-fit design and comes with a cable clip. With Marshall Major Headphones, the headband has the manufacturer Jim Marshall’s signature scribbled beneath and covered in vinyl.

On the external portion of each black ear cup, you can find a sort of insignia of Marshall scribbled in white.

Aside from that, the company promises comfort without compromising the sound quality because of its 15.4mm moving coil vibrant speakers which brings music to life the way it is supposed to.

And if you by chance would like to take The Major off of your head, they are foldable for easy storage and transportation.

On the other hand, The Minor earphones have an EarClick system that secures the earphones on the ear together with an integrated mic and a remote on the left side for additional feature of this dynamic accessory. In addition, it likewise includes another accessory, which is in the form of a 3.5mm extension cable.

The Minor comes with interchangeable earpads (Size adjustable with four separate, silicone size pads).

It also comes with microphone and remote for use with your cell phone.

When it comes to sound, these headphones have the best sound quality I have ever heard. The sound is very clear, crisp and pure! These Marshall products deliver intense sound! Amazing!

Though Marshall Headphones are a bit pricey (Suggested Retail Price: Major headphones – P4,650; Minor earbuds – P2,650), but with all these specs, I have no doubt in my mind that Marshall Headphones are the perfect gift for my husband. (Too bad, I had to return these units) =p

Also, what I love about the Red Box is that I can come alone if I’m not in the mood to “socialize” and sing my heart out or I can tag my loved ones and friends along and enjoy the night of endless singing, dining and dancing in private that their rooms can offer! Videoke in this place is exceptional because sound quality is at its best as the speakers are strategically placed that also matched the place’s interior.

On the album’s first single, “Summer Rain,” a rhythmic reggae tune he co-wrote with Claude Kelly [Bruno Mars, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera] and hit Norwegian duo Espionage’s Espen Lind and Amund Bjorklund [Train's "Hey, Soul Sister"], Morrison looks back on his twenties, when he worked his way up from a chorus line dancer to a Broadway star, remembering an idyllic tryst up on the roof somewhere in Manhattan. “That’s about an ex-girlfriend of mine,” he explains. “What it’s like to be young, in love and in New York City without a care in the world. It’s something that, when I’m 65, I’m going to look back on and think, ‘That was an awesome moment.’ It was actually the first song I wrote for the album.”

Morrison’s debut album also includes a duet with his Glee co-star Gwyneth Paltrow on a version of the classic “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” the same song he sang at the audition-learning how to play ukulele in the process-which earned him his starring role in the hit Fox TV show. “It’s my favorite song of all time,” says Morrison, who says this version, on which he plays ukulele, is based on the cover by Hawaiian player Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, one he also played on the final show of the first season. “I sing the prelude, which not many people do. I feel it’s equally as beautiful as the rest of the song, and that’s what makes it a little different.” Morrison also was joined in the studio by Sting for a cover of his gospel-flavored “Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot,” featuring a full-on church choir as well as Elton John for a Glee-style mash-up of “Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters” and “Rocket Man.”

“I love this album, but this is just the beginning,” he says. “I’m still figuring things out. who I am as an artist, the stories I want to tell. It’s going to be a process. As proud as I am of this record, I’m looking forward to the next one and the one after that. It’s going to be a nice journey.” For Matthew Morrison, it already has been, with a whole new chapter to come.

Promising a mix of originals and cover, Morrison recorded tracks for the album in Los Angeles, New York City and London, and collaborated with several writers including Steve Kipner (The Script, Cheryl Cole), JC Chasez, formerly of N Sync, and Britain’s Eg White (Adele, Duffy).”When I started the process, I had a vision of what I wanted it to be, and it’s now completely different,” he said. “I went into it wanting a Justin Timberlake-meets-Michael Buble kind of feel, but what came out of it was something more raw.” With 10 eclectic tracks which include collaborations with Elton John, Sting and Gwyneth Paltrow, this album will definitely become one’s perfect soundtrack this season!

Jennifer Hudson just released her new album I Remember Me. Jennifer claims the album is much more personal than her first one, and she draws from her own life experiences in recent years.

Jennifer’s highly anticipated album “I Remember Me” is in stores today.

The album title, I Remember Me, is based on a poem written by Jennifer and composed into a beautiful song co-written by Ryan Tedder that will be featured on the album. Nokia, the world’s number #1 mobile phone brand, together with Myx and Star Records introduces Nokia Music Connection, a music competition that connects unsigned music artists to their dreams by giving them the chance of winning a recording contract and having their very own music video.

Present during the event were judges: General Manager of Nokia Philippines, Benoit Nalin; Star Records’ Album Producer, Jonathan Manalo; Star Records’ Managing Director, Annabel Regalado-Borja; and guest judge, Myx VJ Robin Nievera.

Nokia Music Connection is open to unsigned Filipino artists aged 18 to 45, performing as a band with minimum of 2 and a maximum 5 members or as a solo artist of any genre (including those who sing cover songs).

Interested parties must submit a demo reel of their performance by uploading it to www.nokia.com.ph/musicconnection. Length of entry must be maximum 3 minutes, must be in a popularly supported video format (.mpg, .avi, .wmv, .mov), and does not exceed 20MB in size. The performance must be original, not yet used as entry in any other contest, and does not contain any inappropriate content.

Participants may also send a CD of their performance enclosed in an envelope with complete requirements to: ABS-CBN INTERACTIVE Office at 9/F ELJCC Building, Mother Ignacia Avenue corner Eugenio Lopez Drive, Diliman, Quezon City 1103. Deadline of submission is on January 19, 2011.

A total of forty-five (45) participants will be chosen and notified to perform within the months of January to March for evaluation. By batch, they will be assigned to specific areas/bars in the metro where they will perform live, two (2) songs of their choice and will be judged by Star Records, Myx, and Nokia representatives. Also, a part of the participants’ scores will be taken from the audience’s vote via online or mobile.

Users can vote only one artist per day within the voting period: January 20 – March 19, 2011. And those who voted at least once in the Finals phase (March 3–9, 2011) will be entitled to watch the Grand Finals.
From the area elimination, six (6) finalists will be selected to compete in the Grand Finals. They will battle it out in a grand concert on March 19, 2011, performing one (1) original ‘Nokia’ song composed by Star Records and one (1) performance piece.

The grand prize winner will receive P200,000 in cash, a record deal with Star Records, including production of their own music video.

On the other hand, the 5 runner-ups will each receive P10, 000 in cash and will have their own music video to be produced by Myx. They will also win a Nokia X3 Touch and Type phone.
