Earlier, the promoters of MBLAQ announced that the MBLAQ’s “First Contact” concert in Manila scheduled for Sunday night at Aliw Center has been moved to April 1, 2013 at 7 p.m
In explaining the change of schedule, the organizers said the Korean pop group, “wasn’t able to board the plane” for Manila.
However, around 6 in the evening, March 31, 2013, SM announced that the MBLAQ: FIRST CONTACT Concert in Manila is CANCELLED.
SM announced it via SM Tickets Facebook Account and SM Tickets website
The managers and producers of MBLAQ: FIRST CONTACT regret to inform the fans, sponsors and the public that due to unresolved technical and production concerns, MBLAQ: FIRST CONTACT is CANCELLED. All tickets purchased from SM TICKETS for this event shall be fully refunded upon surrender of ticket at the SM Ticket outlet where it was originally purchased. The managers and producers extend their sincere and deepest apology for these unforeseen developments and any inconvenience this may have caused.
Meanwhile, Aliw Theater released an announcement on their FB fan pade, adding that the managers and producers extend their sincere and deepest apology for these unforeseen developments and any inconvenience this may have caused.
No further details were announced.
This is definitely a bad news for the MBLAQ fans.

This isn’t fair. They better release the details as to why they cancelled this concert completely. People came from different parts of the country just to watch this concert. They just crushed our dreams of seeing them perform live into a billion pieces. Offering a refund for the purchased tickets will never change how we feel about this event. I suggest you release a statement better than this one, complete with details and why this has to be cancelled, why you have failed as organizers, and why we should support you if you ever start promoting similar events. You have two choices: release a statement or never organize an event ever again.
Although i did not buy tickets (no money) though I really want to watch the concert, I am really pissed off/sad/sorry err. *mixed emotions actually about this one*. First, the Seoul invasion, then this one? Do you really think that it is funny? Or are you making fun of Filipino kpop fans? Do you know how they feel? Also, I am sorry for TwoX, who arrived before they announced the cancellation of the event. Hmm. And, refunding the tickets will never change how kpop fans (especially A+) feel about it. 🙁 Hope this will never be done again or just do not organize concert which may cause fans frustration. And, oh. PLEASE MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT WEEKS OR MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT. Not, on the same day! There are fans from Visayas and Mindanao too. Please consider this one. It is just that, it is so UNFAIR!
Travelled from iloilo to manila. When they said the event was moved, we decided to rebook our tickets. Then they declared that it was cancelled, but we already made adjustments to our flight schedules. Hay. I think they could do better than this.
