After a month of our C-lium Lose More, Live More Journey, I lost almost 3lbs. Can you believe that? Honestly, I was shocked because at first I really can’t imagine I’ll be able to lose some weight.
To be honest with you, that one-month journey was really a challenge. Besides, who said that shifting your lifestyle would be easy? If you have been following my C-Lium journey, you know that it is really not a joke.
So during the journey, there are times when I actually skipped days in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The reason is because most of the time, we eat outside. That’s why when I learned that I lost 1kg and 1 inch from my waist, I was surprised! And imagine, I did not even maintain a regular exercise because as what I’ve said, we are always out. But the results are still positive. I’m really happy.
2lbs is not bad since the nutritionist told me that after a month, I should lose at least 1kg or 2.2lbs. So, I still achieved my goal. Though 2lbs isn’t much, but I felt accomplished and that motivated me to continue to lose more weight!
That’s because when I realized that through our journey, those who actually aren’t serious enough for the challenge of having a “healthy living” already lost some weight. What more for those who would really take the challenge by heart. I was also inspired by the mommy bloggers that I’ve been with through this journey, for the reason that some lost 8lbs and others by 6lbs. So, I was even more motivated to continue what I’ve started.
What I learned?
Before, I had a lot of misconceptions about losing weight. Losing weight shouldn’t mean starving yourself. Yes, reducing calories is necessary to shed excess weight. However, starving yourself to death isn’t the proper way. Eating foods with more nutritional value is proven to be the best way to achieve that. And of course, think of a long-term goal when you really want to lose weight. Try not to give in to some false promises of getting slim in an instant. This made me understand that losing weight should start in changing your mindset and lifestyle. Then, keeping your metabolism and digestive system active and moving throughout the day will help optimize calorie burn. Losing weight becomes harder as we grow older and I am already on my 30’s that is why I should really get myself moving. A healthy diet and exercise plan would be a big plus.
How can I continue to lose more and live more?
Now that I’ve lost almost 3lbs, I don’t want to waste that by eating again those not-so-nutritional foods that I usually eat before.
I’ll continue eating right. I’ll take C-lium every morning before taking breakfast. And since I’m taking it before breakfast, it will help me set a healthy tone for my whole day, plus it helps me feel fuller throughout the day.
Of course, aside from this, I have to keep my body moving. I’ll do at least 30 minutes exercise daily. Exercise is undeniably an essential part of being healthy. Definitely, I don’t want to lose weight just to find myself all loose and flabby. Doing exercise helps me get the lean and toned look that everyone wants, not to mention that exercise is probably the single most important thing we can do to reduce junk food cravings, feel good and increase our energy levels. I think I’ll try doing some work out three to five days per week to assist my weight-loss efforts. Cardiovascular and strength-training exercises, such as running, yoga and weightlifting, can burn calories and fat while also helping you build metabolism-boosting lean muscle mass.
C-lium “Lose More Live More” The Final Journey
September 20, 2012 marked the final journey to “Lose More, Live More” and it was held at the Medicard Lifestyle Center.
To see the transformations of the my friend bloggers who have joined the C-lium challenge is very inspiring. But to be a part of it is really an honor. Not only we lost weight but also lost significant cholesterol and glucose levels.
Afterwards, the ten winners of the Lose More Live More digital program were also recognized for their amazing accomplishments.
Furthermore, US Certified Fitness Nutritionist and Weight Coach Nadine Tengco explained how fiber helps people lose excess weight. She shared again another healthy recipe: how to make “Sunrise Smoothie” – a psyllium infused drink.
Like Angela Lupango and Art Mendoza, a lot of people have already started their journey to a healthier lifestyle by increasing their fiber intake. For being fit is not just about adding years to one’s life; it’s also about adding life to one’s years.
