After our relaxing massage at Nuat Thai Libis, my husband and I went to Toki Q for our anniversary dinner.
Toki Q, the first rotating barbecue fastfood in the Philippines, offers very delicious food at very affordable price. They use a unique rotating barbecue machine to cook the meats with their special sauce. The rotating machine makes the meat juicier since the juices don’t fall directly to the griller but instead falls downward to other meats on the stick. This machine is common all over Asia and mostly seen in Japan and Singapore.
With affordable combinations that give diners choices between Pork or ChickenBalls (P29 ), Chicken Fillet (P27), Asparagus Wrapped in Pork (P28) or Tontoro Pork Belly (P30), along with soup and a drink, not to mention an unlimited supply of rice,
So for my order, I got Combo 2 with Miso soup and drink (Chicken Balls), Tontoro Pork (Pork Belly, Pork Balls and Chicken Fillet) among the four; my favorite is the pork belly. It’s so flavorful, quite sweet and salty.
Hubby tried Combo 3 with Miso soup and drink (Chicken Ball, Tontoro Pork, Chicken Wings, and Chicken Fillet).
We also ordered chicken skin since the table next to us ordered it, they are family of 4. It’s not my intention to eavesdrop but their conversation caught my attention. They were only there for snack but apparently, ended up for dinner. They ordered some especially the chicken skin (which is really liked by kid who is around 10 years old). And then the mom ordered again, the same menu for his son.
Anyway, I prefer their combo since it comes with unlimited rice which make its very optimal! Toki Q opens its first branch at Wilson St. Cor. P. Guevarra St. San Juan M.M.
Toki Q is planning to expand for 1-2 branches this year and hopefully, when they are able to do that it would be indeed a great experience for every Filipino to try out this all new Japanese yakitori restaurant. For the mean time, you can visit their store at San Juan City, M.M.
