Pinay Mommies Community 2nd Grand EB
Being a Filipina blogger is not complete if you are not a member of Pinay Mommies Community. PMC, as we fondly call it, is one of the continuously growing communities of Filipina mothers (and wife, too!) who consider blogging as a passion. This community has been on its existence for almost four years already, since it started last January 21, 2008 as the brain child of Mommy Ruby, who is also known as Pinay Mommy, or Mommy Rubz. (You know, I owe a lot to Mommy Ruby because she’s one of those supportive people who helped me out when I was still a newbie in the blogging world.) Continue reading »

The Hunt For The Gatsby Style Icon at Technological University of the Philippines
Last November 25, 2011, I was at the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), Manila for The HUNT FOR THE GATSBY STYLE ICON. While this is a traditional school, you can also get a degree from accredited online colleges. (just saying).

Alcatel Introduces Alcatel Blaze 890D – An Android Phone
Last week, I received a cellphone test unit, which is the ALCATEL BLAZE 890D that I need to try for a week. I excitedly tested the unit (I even let my mom tried it and she liked it) and was a little bit surprised that this cute and handy Alcatel baby is already an Android phone, knowing that it only costs around P4,999.00 in the market today as an introductory price. If you are familiar with the Android phones, then you will know that they cost that much. Continue reading »

10 Things You Never Knew About “The Lion King”
With Walt Disney Pictures’ “The Lion King 3D” about to be released for the first time in theaters, we step back in time to uncover some fun facts and top secrets about the animated blockbuster…
SECRET NUMBER ONE… THE ORIGINAL TITLE OF THE MOVIE WASN’T ‘THE LION KING’
“When I first started work on The Lion King, the movie was called King Of The Jungle,” reveals the film’s producer Don Hahn. “King Of The Jungle was a metaphor for this allegorical story about human behavior. We were thinking about the idea of how it’s a jungle out there and Simba has to exist in this jungle. However, there was no jungle in our story; they’re out on a savannah. Another title we looked into was King Of The Beasts, which made more sense because a lion is the king of beasts – but then we threw that out because we wanted to focus on a simple story about a lion king. At that stage we thought, ‘Why not call it The Lion King?’ The story is about a kid who wants to be king and his uncle frames him for murder, so he grows up in the wilderness and then he has to come back to claim his throne. That’s the whole story, and it’s all about a lion king, so the name stuck.” Continue reading »
