Being a typical blogger, it is not unusual for me to stay up late even until the wee hours of the morning doing online tasks, updating my statuses on various social networks, surfing online and other tasks that bloggers usually do. Of course, staying up late, though a common scene for me does not mean that it’s easy; and speaking of staying up late, I just remembered how I crave for something to munch during these wee hours, but unfortunately, I can’t find a place to buy something during those time of the days, so I just settle myself with some biscuits and coffee.
Now, here’s the good news from City Delivery! City Delivery, as you may already know, is a food delivery service provider that brings fresh and hot food from various restaurants, right at the customers’ doorsteps! And to prove that they’re committed to their mission, they have already partnered with different restaurants, including the Mercato Centrale – a place that houses over 150 food stalls that offer different kinds of food to the customers, like bibingka, wagyu beef, organic juices and a lot more!
And as with Mercato Centrale, it has launched a sort of night market known as Midnight Mercato. Midnight Mercato only opens every weekend from 11PM-3AM, perfect for my midnight cravings. Problem is, Mercato Centrale is located at Bonifacio Global City, while I’m from Rizal, I guess I have to try City Delivery. Since, I’ve been hearing about how delicious the food offered at Mercato Centrale, I’ve been intrigued about it and I plan to drop by sooner. Now, because City Delivery has already partnered with Mercato Centrale, I think I’ll try their food delivery service and how efficient their delivery is.
So last Saturday, I called City Delivery and ordered something from Mercato Centrale; because I’m from Rizal and my place is not included in the delivery area, I just asked to deliver the food outside the Eastwood Mall, specifically at the fountain. The usual travel time from my place to Eastwood Mall is 15-30mins but I didn’t expect a heavy traffic jam that time so I was the one who was late for the “meet-up” with the delivery man! Guess what?! He waited for me for around 30-45 minutes that he just kept on calling me and asking me where I was.
Surprisingly, when I arrived, the delivery man of City Delivery still gave me a wide smile and gave me my orders from Bale Dutung (one of the food stalls in Mercato Centrale). I received a still hot LECHON TORTILLA and Pepsi. I immediately looked for a place to eat my orders. I excitedly prepared the tortilla, but due to more servings of Lechon and vegetables, I was not able to fold the tortilla! Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the great-tasting “unfolded” Lechon Tortilla! Now, I’m thinking about it once again (now I think I’m drooling…^_^).
Sorry, my photos do not do justice to this yummy treat. I left my camera at home because of excitement. =)
I’m just thankful that City Delivery is here to let the food lovers taste or have a bite with the delicious food offered by several restaurants, including the Mercato Centrale!
