Penelope Cruz Receives Star on H’wood Walk of Fame

Republic of Cavite
It was in 2001, a year before his catering business Town’s Delight Catering turned 30, when Andrew Pacumio thought of doing something that would allow them to give back to their kababayans the support that they gave Towns Delight. It was then that the concept of putting up Republic of Cavite was born. Pacumio wanted a venue that will not only showcase the historical places of Cavite but at the same time promote the province’s native delicacies. Architect Ritchie Corcuera and historian Prof. Emmanuel Calayro, who are also proud Cavitenos, were tapped to be part of the team that would help execute Pacumio’s ingenious concept. A year after that, the new Republic of Cavite (ROC) was inaugurated. Continue reading »
