LOPEZ Memorial Museum offers free admission to all guests on May 18, Tuesday, in observation of International Museum Day.
Grab this opportunity to view the museum’s exhibit, After the Fact. Ongoing until September 18, the exhibit poses the questions “What and how did we do? Then what?” It attempts to answer the latter question through engagement with Philippine social realism and multimedia interventions as seen in the works of Antipas Delotavo, Imelda Cajipe-Endaya, Keith Sicat and Gaston Damag.
International Museum Day was established by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) 33 years ago to boost public awareness of the role of museums in the development of society. During last year’s International Museum Day, almost 20,000 museums in more than 90 countries around the world took part in the celebration by hosting various events.
The Lopez Memorial Museum and Library is at the ground floor, Benpres Building, Exchange Road corner Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Museum days and hours are Mondays-Saturdays, 8 am-5 pm, except holidays. For more info, call Fanny at 631-2417 or email [email protected] or [email protected].
