TV version of 'Underage' sets forth through Your Song Presents on ABS-CBN!
Your Song Presents: Underage
After the engaging story of My Only Hope comes a whole new chapter of Your Song Presents, the remake of the 80′s movie ‘Underage’.

Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks were last seen in the teleserye Iisa Pa Lamang with Claudine Barretto and Gabby Concepcion. And now, they are back in the limelight as they star the highly-anticipated TV version of Underage which will start on March 1.
Together with Melissa Ricks and Matt Evans are Empress Shuck, Lauren Young, Valene Montenegro, AJ Perez, Rafael Rosell, William Lorenzo and Sylvia Sanchez who will all give life to important roles in the story.
Since the feel of the original Underage movie is quite sexy, the young stars will be taking on mature roles in their new drama mini-series. However, they clarified that the TV version will not be as sexy as the original film.
“This is different. Magpapakita kami ng konting skin. This is another step na naman. Kung baga inuunti unti na namin ‘yung paggawa ng more mature roles. We’re kids anymore na rin. We’re still teenagers but we’re going into the transition of becoming adults na. May ilang ‘sensitive scenes’ dito kaya ‘yun ang pinaghahandaan namin,” said Melissa.
Under the direction of Manny Palo, the story will revolve around three young sisters (Melissa, Empress and Lauren) who grew up in the province, about to face a whole new world. Melissa will portray the role of Celina, the most confident among the three siblings. Empress breathes life to the character of Cecilia, the toughest of the three and Lauren plays the role of Corazon, the frail man-hater. As they bump with new people, their real journey begins.
Your Song Presents Underage will be the initial offering of ABS-CBN’s Your Song Presents which will feature the adaptations of some well-loved Pinoy teen flicks from the 80′s.
Underage was released by Regal Films in 1980 and was considered to be the launch pad of Dina Bonnevie, Snooky Serna, and Maricel Soriano as young-adult actresses. This was originally directed by Joey Gosiengfiao with story and screenplay by Toto Belano.
Don’t miss Your Song Presents Underage as it premieres on March 1 on ABS-CBN after ASAP’09.

Wow Mali! makes a nationwide comeback on TV5
The original award-winning and top-rated gag show makes a huge comeback this year with a new flavor on TV5!

On May 25, 1996, the country got its first taste of unpretentious, candidly captured-for-TV Filipino humor with the premiering of the reality-based original prank show Wow Mali!, hosted by veteran comedian Joey De Leon, on ABC5. And now, the comedy show returns to the airwaves of TV5 with a sole promise of delivering bigger and more hilarious entertainment with the objective of making the entire Philippines laugh!
Still captained by master prankster Joey De Leon as the host and mastermind of Wow Mali! antics, the show now literally covers a wider scope of comedy as it travels all over the country to make sure that the entire Philippines gets cracked by the classic Wow Mali! pranks.
Hopping from one province to another, Wow Mali! on its pilot episode goes all the way from south to north Luzon to catch Filipinos in candid camera fall prey in bizarre and funny situations. Some of the areas that were covered with pranks are Bicol, Pampanga, Baguio, Laoag, Vigan, and Quezon province.

Yet, Wow Mali! still keeps its loyalty to its original style of featuring a plethora of video footage showing practical jokes, bloopers, and wacky segments. The show also follows up on its classic celebrity set-up and pranks, with TV5’s Midnight DJ Oyoboy Sotto as the celebrity victim whose leg gets pulled off by his Tito Joey on the show’s pilot episode.
Witness the Philippines being shaken by Wow Mali, returning with “bigger, better, and wronger” entertainment and laugh out loud with Joey and the entire country every Sunday, 6 p.m. on TV5.

All girls deserve protection from cervical cancer
Last January was the Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. But what do women know about cervical cancer? Are they aware what cervical cancer is?
To be honest, I’m one of the women who don’t have much idea on cervical cancer. All I know is that cervical cancer is cancer affecting women and that is the cancer of the cervix. And every time I heard the word cancer, the first thing that comes to my mind that it is not preventable. But I was wrong, cervical cancer can be prevented.
Thanks to Bravehearts. A multi-sectoral coalition led by the Cervical Cancer Prevention Network (CECAP) and the Cancer Institute Foundation (CIF), Bravehearts is dedicated to raising awareness on cervical cancer prevention.
Bravehearts is currently supported by a growing number of women, including prominent personalities such as Sen. Loren Legarda, Rina Jimenez David, Ellen Tordesillas, Atty. Gaby Concepcion, and Suzi Entrata.
Educating and advocating for promoting cervical cancer awareness to fight cervical cancer is the main goal of Bravehearts.
Women don’t need to die of cervical cancer because the disease develops slowly, after initial infection with the human papillomavirus. Unlike most other types of cancer, it is preventable when precursor lesions are detected and treated.
